For panda lovers, there’s no better way to connect with these gentle giants than becoming a panda volunteer for a day. This immersive experience takes you behind the scenes at the Dujiangyan Panda Base (with Wolong and Yaan bases available upon request).
You’ll shadow panda keepers, prepare food, clean and cut bamboo, and even learn to make the pandas’ favorite steamed buns known as wowo tou. Along the way, gain hands-on insight into panda habits, conservation efforts, and daily care routines. The program concludes with an official volunteer certificate awarded by the base — a unique memory and a meaningful contribution to panda protection.
