Itinerary

On the first day of the Tibet tour, you will arrive in Lhasa. We will pick you up and send you to the designated hotel to complete the check-in procedures.

Holy City Lhasa: Lhasa is an ancient city with a history of more than 1,300 years. As the political, economic, cultural and religious center of Tibet, it is also the "Holy City" in the hearts of the Tibetan people.

Friendly Reminder:

The best advice for you is to move around less, not take a bath, drink more water, eat until you are 80% full, so as to prevent the upcoming altitude sickness.
Overnight: Lhasa

After having breakfast at the hotel, take a car to the Potala Palace, which is the highest-altitude palace in the world and a holy place of Tibetan Buddhism. Then go to the Jokhang Temple, a Tibetan Buddhist temple built in 647 AD, which enshrines the 12-year-old equal-sized statue of Sakyamuni brought into Tibet by Princess Wencheng. Then walk through the thousand-year-old prayer path of the Barkhor Street, which is the most prosperous commercial street in Lhasa built around the Jokhang Temple, permeated with a strong Tibetan cultural atmosphere.

After having breakfast at the hotel, take a car to Yamdrok Lake, abbreviated as "Yanghu", which is one of the three holy lakes in Tibet.

Foreigners and Taiwanese travelers are welcome, but must book a full-service tour (including accommodation, guide, transportation) through a certified local agency.

Tibet Entry Permit, Travel Certificate..

Foreigners or Taiwanese compatriots must be provided with a complete set of tourism products including accommodation, tour guides, transportation, itinerary arrangements, etc. by a local travel agency when entering Tibet.

Journalists and diplomats are not allowed to enter Tibet in the name of tourism.

Foreigners (choose one):

  • Passport + Chinese visa (L visa)
  • Passport + visa + purpose certificate (e.g., family visit, work permit)

Taiwanese (choose one):

  • Taiwan Resident Permit + Mainland Resident Card
  • Taiwan Resident Permit + purpose certificate (e.g., work proof in mainland)

Note: If the passport is about to expire or has expired, a new passport must be renewed. The validity period of the certificate should be at least half a year.

Q: What if I’m over 65 years old?
You must provide a hospital-stamped report showing your blood pressure and cardiopulmonary function are suitable for high-altitude travel.

Q: Are there restricted areas foreigners cannot visit?
Yes. The following areas are not open to foreign tourists:

  • Nyingchi area: Border military management areas such as Medog, Nanyi Valley, Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon are prohibited from visiting; a travel certificate needs to be handled at the Nyingchi Public Security Bureau in Bayi Town for activities in Nyingchi.
  • Shigatse area: Areas such as the Kula Gangri Glacier, Gangba County, Mucun Clay Forest, Dingjie Wetland, and Lhotse Viewing Platform are prohibited from visiting. For foreign guests going to the Everest Base Camp, please note that any itinerary involving driving on National Highway 219 [Shigatse - Gangba County - Mucun Clay Forest - Dingjie Wetland - Lhotse Viewing Platform - Tingri] is not open to foreign guests, and they need to take National Highway 318 from Shigatse to Tingri.
  • Shannan area: Pumoyum Co, 40 Glacier, Lebu Valley, Baimalin Co.
  • Nagqu area: Kuoqiong Gangri Glacier.

Ngari area: Bangong Co in Rutog.

No. For safety and compliance, guests must follow the group itinerary and be accompanied by the guide and driver throughout.

Avoid overexertion, drink plenty of water, rest well, avoid alcohol, eat lightly, and use provided oxygen as needed.

Anyone with heart disease, high blood pressure, cold, diabetes, liver disease, respiratory system diseases, infectious diseases, cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, severe anemia, patients in the recovery period of major and medium-sized surgeries, people with limited mobility, pregnant women, and other people who are not suitable for long-distance fatigue should not sign up!
